HOW TO LOOK THINNER IN PHOTOS
Not everyone can look like a model, and frankly you shouldn't, but everyone wants to look great in photos. Even if you are comfortable with your body, remember the phrase that a camera adds ten pounds to you. Check simple tips on how to deceive a cam and appear more slender in pictures.
Don't press arms to your sides. With your arms tight near your body you will look wider and thicker. Feel free to place hands on your waist or hips and don't raise your shoulders. This will make your carriage natural and relaxed, therefore you will look delightful and more slender.
Stand sideways to a camera. Simply don't stand direct against it and don't turn your profile, but make an angle. The sideways position will make you appear slimmer than the frontal look. And when you are in 90 degrees to a cam, it can easily highlight any overweight i.e. on tummy or chin. You can clearly see a use of this trick in the red carpet photos: even celebrities pose to photographers in a little angle to the camara to look better! Stretch your head away, if you worry about double chin. Hold your head forward and bend it downwards a little bit. This way your face will cover the lower part of the chin! This works the other way around as well: if you pull you head in much, a double chin will appear larger.
Cross your legs a little to make them look more slim. It makes your thighs and hips visually slender, also this pose is very elegant. Cover body parts that you don't feel well about. If you wish you could hide your belly, do so! Hold something in your hands: a handbag, bunch of flowers or any props you like. If you find your thighs not attractive, wear midi or maxi skirt to hide them. If no one will see's what you think is your disadvantage, no one will notice it. Also, a little secret is often more sexual than widely exposed body.
Stand straight. If you stoop, you will automatically look like a shapeless sack. And a straight back can do a miracle, as you will look taller. Remember that the body part closest to a camera will seem to be larger than others. Try this classic trick: Marilyn Monroe used to cross her arms on her chest and slightly bend down to photographers to highlight her bust, but not other parts of her body. If your belly or backside will be closest to a camera, they will get the main attention and will appear to be bigger then they actually are. Try to take camera's attention to body parts that you feel confident about and no one will notice the things that you would rather hide away.
Once again, not everyone can look like a model and that's not necessary, because every person is beautiful in a different way. And if you are a little overweight or simply are not slim built, it doesn't mean you can't be attractive. Furthermore, if you'll think how to pose too much, you will look uncomfortable and unnatural, so it's better to be yourself to let out the real beauty. A smile and relaxing can help you look better more than any tips.
